Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Nitya Niyam mobile application and the online content used by the app. Nitya Niyam is published by ISSO Los Angeles. References to “we,” “us,” and “our” mean ISSO Los Angeles, and “you” means a user of the app.
Information We Collect
Nitya Niyam does not require an account and does not directly request your name, postal address, telephone number, payment information, contacts, precise location, photos, camera, or microphone.
The app stores your language, theme, reading size, image behavior, playback speed, audio state, reminder choices, and downloaded content cache locally on your device. These settings are used only to provide your selected app experience.
If you enable daily reminders, the app requests notification permission and schedules reminders on your device. Reminder times and notification identifiers are stored locally. They are not used for advertising or marketing.
When the app requests lyrics, images, audio, or other content from issola.com, our hosting provider may automatically process standard technical data such as your IP address, device or browser information, request time, and requested file. This information may appear in routine server logs used for content delivery, reliability, security, and troubleshooting.
If you contact us by email, we receive the email address and information you choose to include in your message.
How We Use Information
We use information only to operate and improve Nitya Niyam, deliver devotional content and audio, remember your choices, provide reminders you request, respond to messages, troubleshoot problems, protect our services, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
Nitya Niyam does not include third-party advertising, behavioral analytics, or cross-app tracking. We do not build advertising profiles and do not sell personal information.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell or rent personal information. Limited technical information may be processed by providers that help us host app content, deliver email, maintain security, or operate the Apple App Store and Google Play. We may disclose information when required by law, legal process, or to protect users, our rights, or our services. Service providers are expected to protect information consistently with this policy and applicable law.
Your Choices and Controls
Notifications are optional. You can disable a reminder in the app or revoke notification permission in your device settings at any time. You can remove locally stored app settings and cached content by deleting the app. You may contact us to ask about, correct, or request deletion of personal information you have provided directly to us, subject to applicable law and any information we must retain for legal or security purposes.
Data Retention
Local settings remain on your device until you change them, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Email correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain appropriate records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Technical server logs are retained according to operational, security, and hosting requirements and are deleted or anonymized when no longer reasonably needed.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Children’s Privacy
The app provides devotional content for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
External Links and Services
The app may open external websites, social media pages, email applications, the Apple App Store, or Google Play. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party services.
Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of certain personal information, and to appeal or complain to a privacy authority. California residents may also have rights regarding personal information under California law. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Contact us to exercise an applicable right, and we will respond as required by law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when the app, our practices, or applicable requirements change. The updated policy will be posted in the app and/or on issola.com with a revised effective date.
